Good afternoon!
Today I will tell you about another interesting place to visit in the Emirates.
IMG Worlds of Adventures is the third park we visited. To be honest, I didn’t expect anything good from it because I had already visited two other very interesting amusement parks. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised!
OPENING HOURS:
Sunday to Friday from 12:00 to 22:00
Saturday from 12:00 to 23:00
The haunted hotel is open from 15:00 to 21:00 (included in the price)
TICKETS:
Standard ticket 345 dirhams per person. The ticket price is the same whether you buy online or at the ticket office. This ticket is sufficient.
For an additional fee, you can purchase Fast – it helps you spend less time queuing or avoid queuing altogether. It helps when there are a lot of people in the park. But it’s not cheap.
This ticket does not include the children’s area and the arcade. These areas are paid separately.
You can also rent a locker for storage if needed, from 45 dirhams to 60 dirhams (depending on size).
PARKING:
Free
HEIGHT AND AGE RESTRICTIONS:
The age restriction applies to only one attraction, The Haunted Hotel. Children aged 15 to 18 are allowed to enter upon presentation of ID, and those aged 18 and over are allowed to enter freely. The attraction is scary, so the restrictions are there for a reason.
The other attractions have height restrictions. If you are taller than 140 cm, you will have no problems with any of the attractions.
If you are shorter, you may have problems with some of them due to safety features (you may simply be ejected).
Full height restrictions can be found on the official website in the ‘park rules’ section.
AREAS:
The park is divided into several areas. Each area has its own entertainment.
All attractions, their descriptions and height restrictions can be found in the photo above. Attractions that warn of their extreme nature or the presence of 3D effects are marked with a red triangle.
If you have heart problems, high blood pressure, or suffer from nausea or motion sickness, please avoid these attractions.
1. MARVEL Zone
Entrance to the Spider-Man slide
In this zone, there are extreme attractions that adults will enjoy, such as the SPIDER-MAN slide and THOR THUNDER SPIN (do not visit after eating, as there is significant G-force).
Avengers Flight of the Quinjets – suitable for children, not 3D
Avengers Battle of Ultron and Halk Epsilon Base – Attractions with 3D effects.
We do not visit attractions with 3D due to poor tolerance.
2. Lost Valley
A very beautiful, dark area. Suitable for both children and adults.
This area has two of the most extreme slides – Predator (ride time 1 minute) and the famous The Velociraptor (2 minutes, most of the slide is open) – very cool, ride them, you won’t regret it!
Forbidden Territory – a ride on a trolley in the middle of a world of dinosaurs. There is no extreme, but there are restrictions. Small children may be scared among the dinosaurs, loud noises and spiders. We liked it. It’s just the thing to catch your breath after the screams on the roller coasters!
BUT it’s very noisy, the volume was off the charts!
And not scary – Dino Carousel and Adventures Fortress.
3. Cartoon Network
The most harmless and child-friendly area, with lots of 3D attractions.
We tried The Ride of OOO (a colourful and beautiful attraction where you ride in a blimp and listen to a story while looking at the scenery) and The Amazing Ride of Gumball (a harmless 3D shooter without nausea).
4. IMG BOULEVARD
This includes The Haunted Hotel with age restrictions (mentioned above in the restrictions).
Also, the park is now decorated for Christmas. There are Christmas trees, garlands, Santa Claus and even Zombie Santa Clauses in the Haunted Hotel area!
TIPS AND CONCLUSIONS:
It is better to go to the park on weekdays, but keep in mind that even this rule may not save you from queues! We were there on 13 December, and there were no people at all!
So we walked around the entire park in 2 hours, riding everything we could! But again, it’s winter now, the weather is nice, and most people stay on the beach, while in summer everyone looks for air-conditioned places, which is why there are so many people everywhere!
Check all height restrictions if you are going with children and don’t want any problems or a ruined mood!
The park is quite expensive, more expensive than others, but it’s definitely worth visiting once! There are no tickets with food included, as in other parks. So plan your budget accordingly.
In terms of food variety, this park is the best: juice stands, popcorn, marmalade, Italian, Indian and Chinese restaurants, and more.
We liked the park and had a great time there! The only thing we didn’t like was the very loud music on some of the rides. It was so loud that you could only hear the noise instead of the music. But I think this can be fixed.
Also, some attractions are periodically closed for technical breaks. But don’t worry, they will open again soon, you just need to wait a little and go to other attractions in the meantime!
